Cheap air fills. There is a store here in Southern California that will fill any tank, regardless of size and type for $1 each. Other stores will charge $1 per 1000psi! For example a 68/4500 will be charged $4.50! And you know that with a quick fill, it doesn't fill all the way... |

The gear that you can get that was $120 but you get it for $50-$75. |

I would have to say that the number one thing that keeps me from going back to a store is ignorance on the part of the staff. A lot of the time this simply attributed to bad training, and is blown off... but think about it. This lackadaisical attitude towards a sport with potentially dangerous equipment can be pointed to as a major contributor to a huge underlying problem. If not the videos on youtube of idiots pulling paintball "drivebys", then surely we've seen street signs or other landmarks marred with a tell-tale splat at some point in our travels. No doubt the offender bought the marker from some big chain store, from some uncaring employee, without so much as an age check or tip of the hat to safety. Honestly, if you're going to supply equipment, make the effort, take some sort of responsibility, get involved, and joing the community. If you're just in it to make a buck and jump on the bandwagon, stay out of my sport. |
