mySplat.com is a website designed to grow and improve the sport of paintball by giving paintball players, stores and fields a way to find and contact each other. We have a lot more to offer but that is the basic purpose of the website. Read our MISSION STATEMENT.
Who can become a member of mySplat.com?
Anybody of any age or skill level can join. In fact, our goal is to have 100% participation in the U.S. and Canada.
Who are the members?
mySplat members are any and all paintball players in the U.S. and Canada. Guys, girls, woodsball, speedball, scenario and tournament. Anybody that prefers not to play alone should sign up with mySplat.com.

How much does it cost to join?

Why should I join?
Have you ever shown up to play paintball only to find there were not enough paintball players to have a good game? mySplat wants to fix that by giving paintball players a new efficient way to network with players in your area.
Why can't I personalize my profile page?
This is a common question we get. We are intentionally keeping mySplat's layout simple and "clean". This is the reason that pages load very quickly on mySplat. Second, the more "cluttered" the site becomes, the harder it will be to quickly find what you are looking for. Since evey page is always in the same basic layout, it will be very easy to move around the site. And finally, we want members to be able to access mySplat from ANYWHERE. Many locations now filter out websites that are "image heavy" for various reasons.
Who is mySplat designed for?
We want to be known for “everything paintball”. We are truly an unbiased resource that exists to improve and grow the sport. As mentioned above, we are not associated with ANY publication, website, store, manufacturer or field. We are truly neutral and, therefore, we can help anybody involved with the sport without ANY conflict of interest! We just want to “serve the sport of paintball”.
If you want to be “everything paintball”, is there anything you won’t allow on your site?
If it’s “NSFW” (if it’s inappropriate for the office, public library or school) we will not allow it on mySplat nor will we knowingly link to it. If unsure, we will err on the side of caution (including offensive nicknames). This is a site where everyone should feel safe (7-year-olds, Harley riders, school librarians and church youth groups). Offending potential players, parents and the general public will not help grow our sport! If you find an “item of concern” please make us aware of it immediately.
I already have friends I play paintball with, what can mySplat do for me?
mySplat will help you find more players; help other players find you; help you locate only local players that play YOUR type of paintball and send them a personal message; let you start private games; let you start public games; let you find games; locate most fields and stores in the U.S and Canada; setup a secure mailbox to send and receive messages from other stores/fields and players (without giving out any personal information except your mySplat ID #). Members will get an email from mySplat when they receive a new message in their mail hopper. mySplat also introduces new players to basic rules to follow when setting up their own games and provides a printable rules/guidelines page to bring to games for everyone to agree on prior to playing.
We offer shirts and stickers with your personal I.D. # on them. More products are coming soon that are not available ANYWHERE else. Soon we will also be having contests and award prizes to top players, stores and fields, decided on by other members (more details on that later). We are going to improve the image of paintball (we will also tell you how we are going to do that soon, but we will give you a hint: Halo). You may be happy to know we will be working on getting you discounts from your local stores and fields in the future. We are currently working on many exciting features that are not found ANYWHERE else.
I run a store/field, what can mySplat do for me?
mySplat will help you find customers; help customers find you; advertise games, sales and other events; let you start private games; let you start public games; setup a secure mailbox to send and receive messages from other stores/fields and players. Members will get an email from mySplat when they receive a new message in their mailbox. mySplat can also introduce new players to basic rules to follow when setting up their own games and provide a printable rules/guidelines page to bring to games for everyone to agree on prior to playing. We offer shirts and stickers with your personal I.D. # on them, including a line of shirts and stickers that identify you as a store and/or field owner so that you can meet more customers.
How do I contact others and how do they contact me?
The mySplat mailbox system makes it easy and safe. You can give out your ID# and nickname to anybody. Or players can contact each other by using our search feature. Players can be located by zip code/designated radius or style of play. Once you find the player(s), you can send a message from your mail hopper to theirs and wait for them to respond. No need to give out email, phone or other information. You can log into check your mail from any location that has internet access. All you need is your ID#/nickname and password.
Will my personal information be given out to others?
NO, others will only contact you through your mailbox on mySplat.com. We encourage, even request, our members NOT to give out email addresses, phone or other personal information. mySplat’s website has been designed to protect the privacy of our members. We alone have access to your email and other personal information and we do not, and will not, share this information.
I want to grow paintball in my area. How can I do that?
First, of course, become a member of mySplat, and then start telling others! We have made it easy by having a printable mySplat.com poster you can copy and post anywhere you have permission!
What rules do you suggest players follow for safe games?
mySplat introduces new and veteran paintball players to basic rules to follow when setting up their own games. We do this by providing a printable mySplat.com paintball guidelines page to bring to games for everyone to agree on prior to playing. It also lists some basic options that should be agreed on as well (do gun hits count, how much splatter is a “hit”, etc.)
What do parents say about mySplat.com?
Parents have been very supportive for several reasons. We are trying to improve the overall image of the sport and most parents are anxious to see this happen. We are providing a safe way for kids (and adults) to contact each other without anyone giving out “sensitive” information such as phone numbers or email addresses. And we are encouraging paintball players to not only play safer but play friendlier. Everyone had a “first game” and if someone hadn’t stopped to help us learn the basics many of us would not have stayed with the sport. mySplat is also very selective concerning the content and links on our site. We try our best to screen each paintball resource to insure there is no offensive and inappropriate material. Unfortunately not all paintball websites are exactly “wholesome”. If we have overlooked an inappropriate link that is on our website, we ask that you bring it to our attention.
How does mySplat plan to improve paintball?
Organize the players; support small businesses; reward the good players (and businesses); encourage players and businesses to improve the image of paintball; increase safety in the sport of paintball; increase our numerical growth; be a neutral resource for paintball players and paintball businesses; and a few other methods we are not able to disclose at this time
Why buy a shirt/sticker/armband?
Tell the world you play paintball and tell other players what kind of paintball you play. Want to meet other players in your area? Keep your eyes open for mySplat shirts and stickers!
Why can’t I choose my shirt/sticker color?
mySplat.com has already assigned colors to different types of play and gun choices. This will allow others to identify you while “out and about”. Do you play stock and attend all scenario games? Based on your color everyone will know this. Other players with the same preferences will be able to identify you and make contact! See the color chart HERE!
Why don’t you sell gear?
We don’t want to take business away from local stores. We want to send them customers. Also, if we start selling gear, why would we want to list every other store in the U.S. and Canada? We want to be a resource for where you can find gear, not a source for that gear. There are already plenty of great places to buy online and especially your local stores. Is mySplat affiliated with any Store, Manufacturer, Field, Publication or other Paintball business?
No, mySplat is an independent and unbiased website. Since we have no “connections” to any other group we are not influenced to show favoritism. We only want to see the sport thrive and players multiply in number. We also want to see local stores and fields succeed and that is where we encourage all of our members to buy when possible. That is why you won’t see guns or gear for sale on the mySplat.com website, we don’t sell any paintball guns or gear.
I run a paintball store/field. Why would I want to support mySplat.com?
Would you have more customers if the paintball players in your area could all contact each other? History has shown that when players in a given area are organized, the number of new players grows faster.
Why are stores/fields so eager to support mySplat.com?
We support local stores and fields and that is where we encourage our members to do business. Stores don’t have to worry about recommending mySplat.com only to find they bought a gun from us. The more players that join mySplat.com, the more players will visit local stores and fields.
